John Holland awarded Shamrock Civil the Stage 1 Redevelopment Contract at the Enoggera Army base.

The stage 1 works consisted of the 3 individual sites, the ADFIS, HQ7 and Mess Redevelopment sites.

These works consisted of the following:

  • 1100m3 of 13,100m3 of filling;
  • 11,400m3 of removal and reinstatement of unsuitable material;

  • 490m of stormwater culverts ranging in size from 300-1050mm diameter; and
  • Stormwater structures and GPTS.

In addition to the above works Shamrock constructed 98m of 1800 x 1800mm twin cell culverts, 3no major stormwater structures, 3no concrete weirs and 895m3 of gabions in the Enoggera Creek.  These works required significant environmental considerations to protect the habitat of the Tusked Frog.  Shamrock were required to work closely with John Holland environmental representatives and the project frog ecologists to ensure the disturbance of frog habitat was minimised.  The works were completed on programme and without incident despite significant inclement weather throughout the project.
