Shamrock Civil were awarded the civil component for the construction of a new State High School at Banora Point, NSW. The acid sulphate affected soils were remediated as part of the early works, which involved the blending of approximately 15kg lime p/t of soil.
Earthworks comprised of stripping and stockpiling topsoil, importing 35,000m3 of fill, placing and compacting to form building platforms, sports ovals, hard courts and roads.
On completion of earthworks, previously treated topsoil was re-spread to sports ovals and trimmed to grade.
Civil storm water included construction of large box culverts, pipe work, various types of concrete structures and a Bio-trench.
The roadworks component included construction of 20,000m2 of asphalt car parks and internal roads, construction of roundabouts, bus set downs and road widening externally.
