Northbuild Constructions awarded Shamrock Civil the civils package for the Queensland Combined Emergency Services Academy (QCESA) project at Whyte Island Brisbane.
The works included groundworks, demolition, stormwater, 4,800m2 of pavement, subsoil drainage, electrical and communications conduits and light and camera pole footings. The project also comprised of 6no 6m deep tanks to harvest the water from fire fighting exercises and a Gross Pollutant Trap.
Shamrock constructed the intricate subsoil drainage system and drainage layers required to harvest the water. The project also included a spillway area in which Shamrock carried out the detailed and complex shaping required to simulate a chemical spill and the associated culverts and stormwater to harvest the water.
Shamrock Civil were able to call upon there extensive range of resources to meet Northbuild's accelerated programme. Both stages of the project were handed over on programme to the client's satisfaction.
